Seagrass, Acrylic on Canvas, 24x20 inches

This piece were inspired by a recent trip east to Newport, Rhode Island, where the flora grows green and lush in the summer. It was so dense and beautiful that i wanted to keep it in my heart forever. Since then I have been compelled to paint it over and over again, approaching each composition a bit differently. With this piece I was inspired to use my own collage papers, tearing and cutting them to define bright shapes. It is acrylic, ink and collage on a 24"x20"x1 1/2" canvas.
