In August, Marie Provine was juried into Kristine Kollasch’s Recyclamation Exhibit at First Studio for her mixed-media construction: Travels of my Purse. “I have loved this purse, which I bought from a street vender in Italy nearly 20 years ago. It traveled with me everywhere, including overseas to Vietnam and Machu Picchu. It’s too beaten up to keep using, but I wanted to show my appreciation for its useful service all these years.
